Location: St Helens Site, some hybrid work and occasional travel Glass Futures is a not-for-profit research and technology organisation, carrying out collaborative, cutting edge research in glass manufacturing and sustainability, made possible by a significant private and public sector investment of over £50m+ over the coming years. An opportunity has become available to join our growing technical team as a Glass Technologist. It’s essential that you have a strong background in science and/or technology and can provide practical support within an industrial environment. Glass, or ceramics, sector experience is advantageous for this role due to the nature of the business. Working closely with Projects, Commercial and Production teams Analysing and interpreting data and findings from technical studies and trials Work experience in a Foundation Industry, preferably Glass. PhD, or equivalent level of experience, in areas related to Glass or equivalent scientific or engineering disciplines. An awareness of how to manage Intellectual Property and confidential data Glass manufacturing experience is very desirable.
