Job description Job Title: Marketing Assistant Location: Leicester Department: Marketing Reports to: Marketing Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and organized Marketing Assistant to join our team. The Marketing Assistant will support the execution of various marketing activities, with a focus on social media management, email campaigns, and maintaining accurate marketing databases. The role will require proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Microsoft Office to assist in the day-to-day management and execution of digital marketing initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Social Media Management: Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling engaging content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn). Monitor and respond to interactions on social media to improve engagement and brand awareness. Track social media performance and provide reports with insights for improvement. Email Marketing: Help design and implement email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotional emails, and product announcements, using Salesforce Marketing Cloud . Assist in writing and proofreading email content to ensure brand consistency and accuracy. Monitor email campaign performance (open rates, click-through rates) and make data-driven recommendations for optimization. Database Management: Maintain and update email lists and marketing databases, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with GDPR and other regulations. Segment email lists using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to ensure personalized and targeted communication for different customer groups. Help manage opt-ins, opt-outs, and subscription preferences. General Marketing Support: Assist with market research and competitor analysis to inform marketing strategies. Provide administrative support, such as preparing marketing materials, coordinating marketing events, and producing reports using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to ensure cohesive marketing efforts. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or currently pursuing). Proven experience in social media management, email marketing, and database management, preferably in a similar role or internship. Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of analytics and data-driven marketing strategies. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with content creation (copywriting, graphic design, etc.). Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing trends. Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.
