Membership Body

Hybrid Central London – 3 days Office, 2 days home

Basic Salary £50,000 - £52,000 with benefits. 25 days’ holiday per year plus bank holidays, Life Assurance, Pension scheme, Season ticket loan, training, and development.

Our client a well-respected and reputable professional membership body based in Central London is currently looking for a Marketing Campaigns Manager.

The Marketing Campaigns Manager is responsible for the external campaigns, brand and awareness raising of the work and impact. You will develop a marketing campaign strategy in conjunction with the Head of Marketing, which will consist of campaigns to promote the products and services of the Institute to members and non-members, and also to raise awareness of the Institute in a broad brand campaign, which will identify new target markets for the Institute. You will be responsible for developing campaigns via a range of digital channels including website, email marketing, social media and paid search, and guiding your team to implement in a timely manner across the marketing activity calendar.

You will be comfortable working with external agencies – for design, media, paid search and will ensure they work effectively to support the execution of integrated campaigns.

You will lead on internal communications in conjunction with HR, creating engaging, supportive content for employees on the intranet, in line with the Institute’s values.

Key Accountabilities

  • Create and implement a campaign planner working across the organisation to develop campaigns and content in line with the overall strategy and yearly plans.
  • Be key contact to third parties commissioned to undertake work for marketing activity – providing them with clear briefs and monitoring their costs against budget agreed.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and content team to ensure the campaign calendar is up to date and marketing activity is executed efficiently.
  • Research and identify key external audiences for campaigns to promote products and services such as training courses and qualifications, which drives membership acquisition and commercial revenue.
  • Oversee the use of Dotdigital email marketing to produce targeted email communications and upskill the team to use automation to build communication journeys for various groups of audiences and members to achieve conversion targets.
  • Oversee the social media strategy to maximise engagement across LinkedIn and other platforms, using organic and paid posts to support campaign activity.
  • Analyse marketing campaign performance by channel, on impact and return on investment, creating a monthly metrics report, and build insight into a continuous cycle of improvement.
  • Create and implement an internal communications strategy, working with stakeholders from Marketing, HR and senior leadership team to support employees and build our reputation as a good employer.
  • Develop the professional skills, behaviour and understanding of each member of your team, by giving clear guidance and regular feedback.

Person Specification

Knowledge

A solid understanding of the marketing needs of member organisations, events, training, and qualifications

A comprehensive understand of digital marketing.

A strong understanding of CRM, data segmentation and analytics

Understanding the importance of brand consistency in communications

Experience

At least 6 years in a marketing role managing campaigns and content for use across a range of communications channels.

Experience of planning and developing campaigns

Brand management, both in design and messaging

Agency and budget management experience

Line management - developing individual talent and creativity.

CIM or IDM qualification is desirable.

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Skills

Excellent writer with attention to detail

Highly organised with ability to project manage campaigns, delivery of content and assets.

Stakeholder management, excellent relationship building and networking skills.

Excellent planning, prioritisation and time management skills

Process-driven with an ability to multi-task effectively.

Competent user of website CMS, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Dotdigital, social media platforms and Google analytics.
