Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be partnering with a leading children's charity based in Surrey to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Marketing & Communications Executive.

Your work will help ensure these families receive the expert, practical, and emotional support they need to make the most of their time together.

The Marketing & Communications Executive will play a key role in implementing and evaluating marketing strategies and campaigns.

Job Title: Marketing & Communications Executive
Location: Surrey
Salary: 29,500/annum
Permanent
Full-time office based (some flexible working options available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging content for social media, blogs, press releases, campaign copy, e-newsletters, website pages, and more.
  • Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and monitor organic social media posts, staying abreast of trends and reporting on performance.
  • Campaign Coordination: Manage cross-channel content calendars, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all platforms.
  • Media Relations: Identify and craft compelling stories to pitch to media outlets, raising the charity's profile.
  • Digital and Print Assets: Collaborate with teams to create impactful digital and printed materials for campaigns and publications.
  • Influencer Engagement: Support the engagement of new influencers, media contacts, and suppliers to amplify the charity's message.
  • Support for Families: Develop content that places family stories at the heart of communications, ensuring their voices are heard.

Person Specification:

  • Experience in delivering integrated marketing campaigns and managing social media channels.
  • Experience in the charity sector.
  • Experience working with marketing agencies and freelancers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, CSM, social media scheduling systems, Canva, and Adobe Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Special Conditions:

  • Occasional requirement to work evenings and/or weekends.
  • Some travel within the UK may be required.
  • Valid driving licence preferred.
