Job Description

POST: Marketing & Communications Executive LOCATION : Hybrid: Remote and London (Wembley) headquarters SALARY: £27,000 to £30,000 per annum OTE bonus THE ROLE: Global Institute of Sport (GIS) are seeking an ambitious, creative and driven Marketing & Communications Executive with an appetite to grow and progress their career in higher education and sport. The post-holder will support in planning and executing marketing campaigns, managing and updating the content on the GIS website and write engaging copy for various mediums including email, website and print materials. The successful candidate will be confident interacting with external media agencies, social media platforms and comfortable using a CMS and a project management tool. They will be expected to stay up to date with industry trends and evolve their skillset through constant learning and development. You will be expected to bring your own ideas to every marketing campaign and assist the Marketing Manager to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and on point. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, create and send engaging email communications to various audience segments using the GIS CRM. Coordinate and produce written news and feature copy for the GIS website with prospective students, current students, alumni, staff, guest speakers and partners of GIS. Coordinate and produce copy for GIS marketing materials, including, but not exclusive to, the website, prospectuses, print and digital materials. Coordinate and produce written news and feature copy for partner publications and the wider GIS digital footprint – digital and print. Day-to-date management of the GIS social media channels, working closely with freelancers to ensure channels are relevant, increase key metrics and meet key objectives of the business. Management of GIS’ communications calendar, including email and social media. Set-up and optimise the GIS social media channels on each platform to ensure visibility of content. Assist in ensuring the GIS website is up-to-date using the CMS. Analyse the performance of the website, social media channels and digital marketing using dashboards (Google Analytics and Looker Studio). Bring forward and implement recommendations for improving the performance of each channel. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders for the sourcing of marketing content. When required assist in planning and capturing of content on location. The successful candidate will be required to work with colleagues and marketing agencies in the US and Australia which may include some meetings out of normal UK hours from time to time.
