The strongest energy sector network in the UK. NOF is a business development organisation with over 450 members working across the energy sector. Set up in 1988 the organisation supports the energy sector supply chain with networking, events, industry intelligence, supply chain engagement, connections, introductions, and profile raising through our marketing services.

We are a small friendly and proactive team of 15, based in Durham, North East England but supporting businesses across the UK.

The role

We are looking for a super organised, creative, and passionate Marketing & Communications Manager who will join our small but dedicated team.

You will build and execute an effective marketing strategy across the business, including key messaging, PR, branding, content creation and distribution, building further upon our social media presence across various platforms and make sure our events get noticed and stand out from the crowd...

Responsible for the development of highly effective communications, you will support our business ambitions, raise awareness of who we are, what we do and why we do it with a focus on members, partners, and stakeholders.

There will also be content creation for communications, website, social media and other platforms.

As guardian of our brand guidelines, you will ensure integrity at all times working with partners to further develop our business profile and industry reputation.

The role will also involve managing a small team.

You will be based at our office in Belmont, Durham, North East England.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Needed

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience.
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate confidently and concisely.
  • Creative with an eye for detail, with the ability to tell a story to get messages across with impact utilising your experience using design packages such as Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign), Illustrator, Photoshop etc.
  • Skilled at managing end-to-end marketing campaigns across various channels (content, events, digital marketing, PR).
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent eye for detail and knowledge of brand integrity and reputation management.
  • Good knowledge of marketing, information management and business development.
  • Ability to handle a busy and varied workload working to deadlines.
  • IT literate with experience of using a CRM system, all aspects of Microsoft Office, virtual platforms including Teams and Zoom, social media platforms etc.
  • Educated to degree level, preferably in a business / marketing / design / events qualification.
  • Line management experience and able to delegate confidently.
  • At least five year’s office / business experience.
  • Energy industry experience preferred but not essential.

  • Salary: £35k Circa
  • 28 days holiday with 3 to be taken between Christmas and New Year.
