Working within the Communications Team and reporting to the Head of Communications, the purpose of Marketing & Communications Manager is to help manage the delivery of Greenergy’s marketing and communications activities. You will have to be a self-starter, be proactive, and have experience in delivering a marketing and communications strategy. You will be supported by and report into the Head of Communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • The role of the Marketing & Communications Manager is to help deliver the strategic priorities, supported by a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to project manage key deliverables within the team. This will also include working closely with design to deliver on brand marketing and communication assets.
  • Provide marketing and communications support for our UK business, helping to develop and then delivering the plan, including: management of advertising (costs, timeframe, copy and approvals), management of event co-ordination for events, and creation and review of marketing materials to support the sales team
  • Demonstrable experience developing and delivering B2B marketing strategies, and written communications such as press releases, marketing materials, campaign copy.
  • Thinking creatively: to help develop and support the company’s internal and external profile including digital, trade and industry events, reporting and brand development.
  • Writing: ability to product content from concept for use across different channels, such as digital, brochures, reporting, with minimal supervision. Experience in long form reporting preferred.
  • Review and prepare award submissions and work with external parties on agreed case studies
  • Video: ability to write scripts and copy for use in video, along with project management
  • Assist with internal communications: help to implement group wide communications, including the intranet, newsletters, merchandise and events etc.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential
  • Proven experience working in marketing and communications
  • Ability to set clear goals and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
  • Strong organisational capabilities with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrable track record for flexibility – adapting and evolving style and deliverable to meet competing deadlines from different stakeholders
  • Strategic and intuitive thinker, with exceptional writing skills
  • Down to earth, pro-active, determined and focused to deliver results
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to work as a team
  • Ability to multi-task and have a solution led approach to work
  • Motivation to learn quickly in a fast moving and dynamic environment
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Sharepoint
  • Strong organisational capabilities with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work well in a team, be a strong networker with good commercial acumen
  • Familiarity with and understanding of social media and content generation both written and visual
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
