Marketing Director, Global Messaging & Solution Marketing - Public Sector, Manufacturing and Energy Industries
Roles & Responsibilities
The Marketing Director of Industry Messaging & Solution Content is responsible for how our Public Sector, Manufacturing and Energy industries solutions are understood and perceived in the market. This entails researching and understanding the market landscape and client needs to develop compelling messaging that captures our value proposition. Working across various corporate functional groups – including Global Marketing, Field Marketing, PR, AR and Corporate Strategy - this role is ultimately responsible to align what we offer as a company to what the market needs.
This is a critical, global marketing position, requiring the ability to influence senior executives, subject matter experts and peers in multiple parts of the organization, and the ability to change perspectives on the role and benefits of industry portfolio marketing. As a transformative position, this role will have ample opportunity for the right candidate to help build and create a new function in Cognizant's global marketing organization that will have an outsized impact on the future of the company.
Reporting to: Head of Global Industry Messaging and Solution Marketing
Profile
We're looking for a hands-on contributor, who has not only the capability to orchestrate what needs to be done but will also execute and lead by example. The right candidate will have extensive experience creating foundational messaging, content that performs and building bridges across multiple organizations, cultures, and communication styles. You will be partnering with an existing team of industry marketers, subject matter experts and client partners within the respective industry business units. A background in a relevant industry is required. Experience building and working within matrixed teams will also be essential.
Key Responsibilities
Be the client voice within Cognizant for the Public Sector, Manufacturing and Energy industries. Understand the market landscape, competitive offerings, client pain points and opportunities.
Orchestrate a cross-functional industry core team - including senior stakeholders, subject matter experts, industry marketing and corporate marketing - in order to align industry messaging into a unified voice, establish message testing and agile feedback processes.
Create crisp messaging and positioning that articulates Cognizant's unique value proposition for Public Sector, Manufacturing and Energy industries that address client pain points and market opportunities.
Convey messages using a conversational storytelling approach that clearly differentiates our point of view in the market and resonates with target personas.
Own the creation and delivery of memorable sales and marketing tools throughout the industry solution lifecycle, such as pitch decks, one-sheets, competition guides, white papers, videos, integration guides and FAQs.
Equip all channels with the ability to communicate Cognizant's value to the market - including Global Campaigns, Field Marketing Programs, Client Relationship Programs, Analyst Relations and Public Relations.
Requirements
Desire to work in a fast paced, agile environment where flexibility will be key to developing a new global function
Experience leading both internal and external cross-functional teams in a virtual environment
Considerable experience in influencing senior executives and driving consensus across multiple stakeholders with diverse priorities
Deep experience in developing creative, scalable content strategies, exceptional narratives, and memorable messaging
Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills - a blend of strength of conviction with diplomacy and a constructive attitude
A global mindset: a recognition of and ability to adapt to audiences in multiple geographical regions
This role has a global scope and will require time zone flexibility.
