Job Description

marcus evans, a world leading business information company, is seeking an entry level marketing executive to join our capital markets division based in London. As one of the world leading providers of professional business training to the Banking, Finance and Insurance market we deliver over 200 training days per year globally to many of the world’s leading financial institution and household brands.

In this challenging, international environment you would be responsible for exploring all marketing channels available to raise awareness of our bespoke In-House Training services across EMEA, Asia and North America to both existing clients as well as new prospects. With access to some of the world’s leading trainers within financial markets we have the ability to build out one-off niche training workshops for clients as well as delivering global training programs across all geographical territories a client is active in.

This is initially a lead generation role leveraging a range of marketing initiatives to support our account managers with a steady pipeline of in-bound inquiries. Over time suitable candidates can also take on some of the lead management responsibility to build up their own pipeline of business and client base.

This role will be based on our London office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing a direct marketing campaign for each core region EMEA, Asia and North America working from a forward schedule of events delivered by our course development team.
  • Exploring all other marketing channels available for the promotion of our training portfolio including but not limited to social media, content marketing and online advertising.
  • Marketing copy writing and campaign management. Outright responsibility for creating compelling marketing copy for email campaigns, event brochures and online event pages.
  • Responsible for reporting on all leads and sales engagement generated as well as tracking sales outcomes to further inform the targeting of the marketing campaigns you are executing.
  • Portfolio management. Working closely with the professional training director and the course development manager to provide feedback on courses in the market, interpreting the campaign performance to drive product development.
  • Particular importance is attached to evaluating statistics to enhance future results, drive course development, as well as developing and growing other business lines including in-house training.

Qualifications

  • Applicants should be graduates to degree level preferably in a marketing related discipline.
  • Self motivated, enthusiastic can do people with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
  • Previous marketing or sales experience particularly in a B2B environment would be considered a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of studying or working in a second European language particularly Spanish and German would enhance your application considerably as we are looking to grow out portfolio further in these two markets.

  • Competitive base salary plus regular course bonuses.

  • 20 days per annum paid holiday (3 to be used during Christmas week). After the first year of employment this will increase to a maximum of 25 days.
