Job Purpose Ronald McDonald House Charities UK has a renewed focus on growing our brand. Our focus is to grow the Charity’s trust and reputation, through working closely with our Mission Partner, McDonald’s, developing new brand partnerships, improving our performance across digital channels and ensuring brand consistency across all our supporter interactions. As part of this growth, the role of Marketing Support Officer is required for at least a six-month period to support the development and delivery of creative designs for campaigns, as well as provide specialist marketing support for the Income Generation teams with their activities and all while ensuring brand compliance is maintained across all activities. This role will also support on creative input on the wider digital marketing activities, such as email marketing and website development. The ideal candidate will be a keen planner, creative and a people person. Experience of working on brand campaigns is desirable, as well as an understanding of social media and how it can support campaigns. Key Responsibilities Supporting with the delivery of brand campaigns, including key fundraising campaigns, working to milestones to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget Assisting with campaign implementation, including taking the lead on some regional campaigns Liaising with colleagues across the MarComms, Income Generation and Database teams to develop and deliver marketing campaigns Working closely with our Income Generation teams to identify areas of support or work needed Developing creative assets for campaigns that are unsupported by agencies Writing creative briefs and working with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the effective and timely delivery of materials and campaigns Writing copy for external communications, working closely with freelancers and agencies for all creative elements where needed Supporting the Digital Marketing Manager with email marketing and website development, ensuring they are used effectively in promoting campaigns and fundraising initiatives Providing advice and guidance to the Income Generation team on how to best promote fundraising activities Providing support to the Marketing Officer with brand sign-off on departmental communications, ensuring consistency in tone of voice, look, feel and messaging Using data and analytics to put together post-campaign evaluation reports Ensuring that all communications are carried out within fundraising and GDPR legislation Supporting on other MarComms projects when needed Experience Experience working on content, marketing or communication projects Experience of planning and delivering creative projects Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint Proficient knowledge of design platforms, Canva (desired), Adobe Experience interpreting and using brand guidelines Skills Excellent communication skills, assertive and tactful Skilled at designing marketing materials, with a good design eye Excellent interpersonal skills - able to build strong working relationships across teams Highly organised with the ability to prioritise Motivated, pro-active and a can-do attitude Strong IT Skills Excellent grasp of grammar and writing Excellent team-working skills Friendly, outgoing and willing to help in all areas of the Charity Meticulous attention to detail Ability to work at pace, without compromising standards Our Diversity Statement We aim to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views, and experiences.
