We have a new opportunity to be part of the Machine Shop team in the role of Material Controller.
The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, proactive and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
The Successful candidate must have the following attributes:
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of warehouse management.
- Possess a thorough understanding of ERP systems.
- Forklift license
- Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards working hours.
- Be available to travel as and when required to fulfil the requirements of the role in which employed.
- To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.
- Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
- To communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues
- To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
- Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills.
- Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
- Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety
The Key responsibilities of this role are:
- To manage and control the machine shop's raw materials warehouse.
- Material loading and unloading.
- Preparation and allocation of raw materials to production orders
- Goods in and goods out booking.
- The ability to use Manual machinery to prepare material. The ability to use CNC machinery to prepare material will be a benefit.
- To review and continuously improve the material warehouse.
- To keep the ERP System up to date with the latest transactions.
- To attend and proactively participate in meetings as required.
- To demonstrate a flexible and understanding approach to the department’s needs.
- To lead by example.
- To meet the requirements and demands of the busy periods.
- To work proactively, responsibly and professionally always and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure.
- To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard.
This is a day Shift role Mon-Fri.
