Engenda Group are looking for a Group Electrical Buyer to join the head office team in Runcorn.
Engenda Group (initially through the acquired business of Lectec Services) have been an influential force in this field since 1977, providing comprehensive capability combining both electrical and instrumentation work packages across the UK industrial sector.
The successful candidate will work within our procurement department, ensuring materials meet the requirements of the British Standards, are delivered to site on time and at the best price available at the time of purchase
- Material Management: Receive and review material requisitions with precision.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve discrepancies with the Engineer/Project Manager efficiently.
- Strategic Selection: Identify and select suitable materials for purchase with care.
- Order Processing: Raise orders onto Accounts systems accurately and promptly.
- Follow-Up: Chase incomplete or delayed orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Delivery Oversight: Manage material delivery to site, ensuring availability as needed.
- Process Adherence: Work within established processes to boost efficiency.
- Cost Management: Negotiate prices with suppliers to meet budgetary requirements.
- Compliance Control: Manage compliance and documentation effectively when needed.
You'll have proven experience in a similar role within the heavy industrial sector and have a good knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
