Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of business they are looking for a Mechanical Design Draughtsman to join their team.
THE ROLE: Working with high accuracy and attention to detail you will use your engineering knowledge and CAD skills to create detailed, correctly toleranced manufacturing drawings to the appropriate industry, technical and drawing standards for issue to the production team and suppliers.
You will also be involved with:
- Drafting of mechanical and hydraulic systems, components and assemblies.
- Ensuring drawings and supporting technical information remains up to date and correctly organised to meet quality and audit standards.
- Contributing to the production and management of costed BoM's for manufacture, testing, installation and commissioning.
- Assisting with the upkeep of technical infromation and production of technical manuals.
- Supporting design changes and the Engineering Change Process including revision of BoM's.
TO APPLY: My client is looking for someone who has:
- A mechanical engineering qualification (or equivalent).
- Mechanical design experience ideally including detail production / fabrication drawings, assemblies, machined components and ideally hydraulic systems.
- Experience of a variety of manufacturing processes, materials and components.
- Good 2D and 3D CAD skills (Ideally AutoCAD and Inventor or similar) as well as general IT competence.
- Able to understand and work to industry and internal quality and certification standards.
- Able to communicate with other departments (e.g.
production) and suppliers.
- Uncompromising attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- A self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude and a hands-on approach.
