We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client in Burton on Trent. The ideal candidate will be an experienced all round Mechanical Design Engineer with at least 7+ years’ experience in Solidworks.

Job Description: As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of the key product line. With a focus on Electro-Mechanical components and fabricated parts, your responsibilities will include:
- Ownership: Lead the design process for crucial product lines, ensuring excellence at every stage.
- Customer Interaction: Act as the primary interface for customers, providing in-depth product knowledge and supporting the Production department.
- Engineering Excellence: Using Solidworks, create customer bespoke and company standard fabricated designs of products. An understanding of Electrical Harness Routing would be very beneficial but not essential
- Collaboration: Liaise with various departments, including purchasing and production, to deliver designs from concept to completion.
- Manufacturing Expertise: Apply your proficiency in manufacturing methods, encompassing Sheet Metal, Steel and Metal.
Key Attributes:
- Expertise: Demonstrate 7 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical Design Engineering in a Senior role
- CAD Proficiency: Display proficiency in Solidworks
- Electro-Mechanical Acumen: Possess a knowledge and experience with Electro-Mechanical components.
