Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Telford, TF2

Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000

Our client, a global engineering firm, is actively seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their highly skilled team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment.

Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Transform conceptual ideas into refined, finished products.
• Adhere to project timelines for efficient delivery.
• Develop detailed 3D designs and technical drawings.
• Generate comprehensive working drawings, detail drawings, and bills of materials.
• Collaborate closely with fellow team members to achieve holistic solutions.
• Possess knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Engage in collaborative design reviews and analysis.
• Enhance tooling to optimise performance.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable.

Mechanical Design Engineer Background Requirements:

• Minimum HNC/Degree qualification or equivalent
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in SolidWorks is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities
• Previous experience within a similar design department role
