What will you be doing?
As a Mechanical Design Engineer (Aircraft seating), you will join Cwmbran team to support our activities within the Aerospacesector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop and refine detailed models of various aircraft seating components to meet specific programme requirements.
- Utilize CAD software to create accurate and precise designs for seating elements.
- Conduct analyses to ensure optimal balance between performance, cost, and weight for seating components.
- Analyse validation results, identify potential issues, and implement design improvements to ensure product reliability and safety.
Who are we looking for?
- Ensure material and process choices meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements for aircraft seating.
- Ensure all design elements comply with relevant aerospace industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in product validation activities, including prototyping, testing, and conducting Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).

Experience, skills and qualifications required:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.
- Experience in cabin interiors, seats and car infotainment systems is preferrable.
- Knowledge of Catia or similar work package.
