Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Mechanical Design Team Leader to join a successful, bespoke, special purpose machine manufacturer based in North Yorkshire.
Key aspects of the Mechanical Design Team Leader role include;
- Skills are likely to have been gained through developing automation or special purpose machines for the world market, experience of designing CE compliant systems in any of the following; pharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer goods or clean energy industries.
- Successful Mechanical Design Team Leader will work with senior management team to provide technical risk mitigation plans
- Plan projects, schedule and allocate work packets to Mechanical Design Engineers
- Provide a high level of commercial awareness to ensure design solutions are delivered in a cost-effective manner & design changes are managed in accordance with standard operation procedures
- Able to provide clear technical instruction to Mechanical Design Engineers
- Ability to manage priorities for all stakeholders and provide clear reporting
- Competent in technical aspects of mechanical design and ideally development of special purpose machinery
- Experience of working within a multi–skilled environment (i.e. knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components)

The company’s premises are commutable from the following locations Leeds, Selby, Wetherby, Harrogate, Ripon, York, Pontefract, Doncaster, Hull / East Yorkshire and Wakefield.
