Job Description
Are you an experienced engineer skilled in resolving technical issues, compiling reports, and adhering to specifications? Due to continued investment, this global business seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join their Manchester team (2 to 3 days in office) on a 12-month contract.
The Role
The Engineer applies engineering domain knowledge competently to provide technical solutions in the delivery of products and services while developing domain knowledge, experience, and leadership skills.
You
To succeed within the role of a Mechanical Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:
Essential:
- Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.
- Experience in collaborating in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities across a range of project types.
- Demonstrable experience covering a variety of tasks.
- Communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
Desirable:
- Chartered Status or actively working towards Chartered Status.
- Membership of a relevant institute or significant demonstrable engineering experience with the capability of registration with the Engineering Council.
- Experience in managing engineering scope for projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).
- Breadth and depth of experience across a range of commercial or defence projects.
