Job Description
My client, a specialist subcontractor to the construction sector, is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer for its Built Environment division.
As an accomplished Mechanical Engineer with a sound knowledge of MEP projects, you will be responsible for the following:
- Perform design calculations
- Create MEP system drawings
- Write system specifications
- Attend meetings with the design team
- Write feasibility reports
- Attend site visits to inspect installations on behalf of the client or the company
- Learn to manage projects
- Undergo professional training as needed for job qualifications
You should have a knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and public health design, experience with Part L compliance calculations, and issuing EPCs on various projects.
A sound knowledge of IT systems including AutoCAD, a BSc in Mech Eng, and accreditations such as CIBSE, IET, or IMechE are highly desirable.
