Are you a skilled Mechanical Estimator looking for an exciting opportunity in Sheffield? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join my client's team and support the Mechanical department by overseeing all aspects of estimating.

Your New Responsibilities:

• Estimate Preparation: Gather proposals, plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate work estimates.
• Requirement Identification: Determine labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, plans, specifications, and related documents.
• Cost Compilation: Analyse labour, material, and time requirements to compile costs.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Collect and analyse information to resolve discrepancies.
• Presentation of Estimates: Assemble and display numerical and descriptive information to present prepared estimates.
• Special Reports: Collect, analyse, and summarise information and trends to prepare special reports.
• Database Maintenance: Enter and back up data to maintain the cost database.
• Log Maintenance: Keep a log of all estimates entering and leaving the business, analysing win/loss rates and reasoning.
• Knowledge Enhancement: Attend educational workshops and review technical publications to maintain technical knowledge.
• Business Support: Provide necessary support to the business as requested by Directors or Management.
