Position: Mechanical Estimator
Location: London, UK
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, plus package

Currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team in London.
Job Summary: The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for data centre projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical estimating, particularly within the data centre sector, and will play a crucial role in our project bid processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems in data centre projects.
* Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates are comprehensive and aligned with project requirements.
* Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness.
* Assist in developing bid strategies and participate in bid review meetings.
* Maintain and update estimating databases with current market rates and trends.
* Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator, with a focus on data centre projects.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components used in data centres.
* Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
* Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Education:
* No specific educational qualifications required beyond a relevant technical or trade background.
