We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in Mechanical Assembly to join our clients team located in Croydon. The ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of Mechanical Equipment and a proven track record of excellence in their field.

Our client specializes in engineering solutions for power transmission, drive technology, and fluid power. They are known for their expertise in providing innovative products and services in areas such as hydrodynamic couplings, hydraulic systems, turbo transmissions, and electronic control systems.


Package Details


Hours: Monday to Thursday - 07:00 – 15:00, and Friday, 07:00 – 13:30 (36.5hr working week)

Salary range: £29k – £34k per annum (dependent on experience).

Core Responsibilities:

  • overhauls of mechanical equipment within a workshop environment.
  • mechanical fitting, assembly, strip, survey, and testing activities.
  • drawings, identify components, and assemble or repair mechanical equipment accordingly.
  • high standards of quality and efficiency in all tasks.
  • versatility by carrying out testing, basic wiring, and mechanical fitting as required.
  • cleanliness and adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • technical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • any other duties as assigned.


Professional Experience & Education:

  • five years of experience in mechanical fitting, preferably with rotating equipment.
  • in working to strict quality standards such as ISO9001 and RISAS.
  • time-served apprentice trained with relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering.
  • with safety systems like Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments is advantageous.
  • of Lean Manufacturing principles and waste reduction strategies is beneficial.
  • to learn new skills and adapt to changing demands.
  • to meet customer requirements.
