We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their production team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in assembling heavy plant equipment for the construction industry in a manufacturing environment. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of our machinery to meet customer demands.


Responsibilities:

  • heavy plant equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other construction machinery, according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • mechanical fitting tasks such as component installation, alignment, and adjustment to ensure proper functionality and performance of machinery.
  • hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and lifting equipment to carry out assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
  • with other team members, including welders, electricians, and quality control personnel, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into the overall equipment assembly.
  • quality inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of assembled machinery, making adjustments or repairs as necessary.
  • to strict safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.


Qualifications:

  • of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • experience in mechanical fitting and assembly of heavy plant equipment in a production setting.
  • understanding of engineering drawings, diagrams, and assembly procedures.
  • in using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly tasks.
  • attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise.
