<p>Our client is a leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery. They are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join the team and focus on assembling their bespoke machinery.</p><p><br><br>The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.<br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p><p>Work as part of the production team to assemble and test products for customer orders to a high standard and best engineering practice.</p><p>Use appropriate handheld, power tools and workshop equipment.</p><p>Preparation of parts prior to construction (de-burring, reaming etc.).</p><p>Construction and testing of complete machines in small batches.</p><p>Assisting in the construction of larger automated machinery.</p><p>Route and mount electrical / pneumatic components as required.</p><p>Wiring of simple control panels and ideally have a basic understanding of electrical and PLC principals.</p><p>Portable Appliance Testing of finished machines.</p><p>Follow all ISO9001 Quality and Change Management processes.</p><p>Contributing to the maintaining of Workshop cleanliness.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Candidate:</strong></p><p>Experience as a mechanical technician or similar mechanical fitting role.</p><p>Amy experience with pneumatics is highly beneficial.</p><p>Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.</p><p>Good and effective communication skills.</p><p>Good time-management skills</p><p>Experience and confident use of hand tools such as hand drills, press tooling etc.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Package:</strong></p><p>Offering up to £32k, plus bonus, strong pension and private medical.</p>
