Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

An award winning, well-managed and organized manufacturing facility is looking to secure the services of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support a small team with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing and repair of stationary industrial machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment.
This is a day’s role with operational hours; 07:00 to 15:00 – Monday to Friday.
Duties & responsibilities to include, but not restricted to,
- Ensure that Health and Safety Legislation and Company policies are being always complied with.
- Carry out mechanical repairs on plant and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and rectify faults and problems.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in maximising Plant availability through the implementation of planned and preventative maintenance schemes.
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools.
- Typical equipment includes, but is not restricted to; pumps, gearboxes, furnaces, cooling systems, coating tanks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Person requirements,
- Experience in a mechanical maintenance position.
- Time served mechanical engineering apprenticeship program.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Computer Aided Drafting (desirable) and Microsoft Office experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
