Mechanical Maintenance Engineer About the Role Location United Kingdom Newcastle up Tyne Newcastle upon Tyne Remote vs. Office Office/Site only Company Siemens Energy Limited Organization Gas Services Business Unit Distributed Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional ABOUT THE ROLE A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAYAs a Maintenance Engineer at CAP Works, you will support the Machining Operation Manager by ensuring the continuous availability and reliability of machine tools and other plant equipment. You will work closely with facility and office teams across all shifts and liaise with suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment.HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACTYour role will involve diagnosing and maintaining a diverse range of electrical, mechanical, and technical equipment. You'll ensure up-to-date knowledge of machine tools, adapt the use of Agility application software, and comply with HSE regulations. You will also participate in out-of-hours standby systems and make recommendations on asset conditions to the Maintenance Team Leader or Operation Manager.RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide individual and group assistance to maintain machine tools and equipment.- Liaise directly with teams and suppliers across all shifts.- Maintain and update knowledge of facility equipment and work independently across a 3-shift system.- Use Agility application software for maintenance team operations.- Participate in out-of-hours standby systems and comply with HSE regulations.- Recommend improvements and replacements for assets.- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and practices.- Assist in planning preventative maintenance and support in minimizing downtime.- Conduct annual inspections of ladders and racking.- Participate in required training to fulfill job responsibilities.WHAT YOU BRING- Minimum ONC/HNC in an Engineering discipline or a relevant engineering apprenticeship.- Time-served in mechanical engineering, preferably multi-skilled.Who is Siemens Energy?At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
