I am currently seeking a Mechanical Piping Supervisor for a new pharmaceutical project in Copenhagen. This role is for an international general contractor that is a market leader in the life sciences and mission critical industry who has picked up a significant pipeline in the Nordics for the coming years.
The ideal candidate must have significant mechanical process and piping experience and come from a strong life sciences background. The client is renowned for undertaking complex, large scale industrial projects across Europe and for the training and retention of its staff. Mechanical Piping Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
* Review the Pipe Services Installations with the MEP contractors as they progress to ensure they are progressing in accordance with the correct sequence with respect to other trades.
* Maintain piping spool identity markings of piping spools fabricated off site.
* Verify correct pipe is provided by Contractor. Verify the correct containment/cabling is provided by the Contractor
* Check pipe drawings to assure latest revision in the field.
* Monitor in-process pipe installation and transfer of heat numbers.
* Monitor contractors' storage, handling and installation procedures for predegreased pipe, biobore pipe and associated fittings.
* Monitor in-process welding including consumables, joint preparation, fit-up preheat, interpass heat, WPS variables and final visual
* Verify Contractor is documenting welds on the Weld Log.
* Verify completed welds are being documented on piping drawings.
* Verify transfer of piping material heat numbers.
The ideal Mechanical Piping Supervisor Candidate will have:
* Experience working on Life Sciences & Technology, Health Care or Telecommunication projects
* Good knowledge of varied Mechanical construction techniques and their implementation
* Mechanically biased
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Must be client-facing with excellent communication
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to overcome challenges
