Job Description
To be successful in this role you will be qualified as a Mechanical Supervisor with approximately 3 years’ experience in a project engineering role with a building services contractor. Be able to work under guidance of a Project Manager and have responsibility for successful completion of tasks.
- Support the Project Manager/Engineers in the pre-construction phase by obtaining quotes from sub-contractors for plant and materials. Reviewing and appraising to ensure they comply with the specification. Identifying re-engineering solutions.
- Ensure areas of responsibility allocated to you by the Project Manager are delivered on time, within budget to agreed standards.
- Identify risks and ensure mitigation measures are put in place.
- Effectively manage sub-contractors for certain packages on site, Heating, Cooling, Infrastructure, Ventilation, Duct Work, Fire, Sprinkler and Dry Riser.
- Ensure everyone reporting to yourself has clear roles and responsibilities
- Support Project Manager/ Site Engineers with project budget and costs are managed effectively
Required Experience:
Relevant mechanical qualification.... i.e.. SSSTS certification and CSCS card First Aid
Adapts to flexible and changing schedules
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to prioritize multiple business unit needs, tasks, projects, and demands
