Job summary We are a large busy GP practicelocated over two sites in Bramhall and Shaw Heath.We are looking to employ a medical receptionist with excellent communication and telephone skills who will be available to workacross our 2 sites. As the first point of contact,this role is integral to our approach to patient care, both face to face and onthe telephone. Main duties of the job Be available to work 4-5 days withvarying shift patterns.You will be expected to receive,assist and direct patients either in person or via phone in accessing theappropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient andeffective way.Ensure that enquiries frompatients are efficiently handled.Provide general assistance tothe practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients andother visitors, either in person or via the telephone About us We are a large friendly teaching GP practice with over14,000 patients and a team of enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary and friendlystaff. To work in accordance with practice policies/protocols and processes Any other tasks allocated by managersOther Tasks Clear and stock rooms after surgeries Any other tasks allocated by managers Person Specification Qualifications Essential Excellent interpersonal skills Team player Proficient in the use of MS word/excel Desirable Previous General Practice experience GCSE grade C or above Full training will be given to applicants with relevant transferable skills
