Who are we?

The Children’s Place is a growing private paediatric clinic which is changing the way professionals are collaborating and working together in the private sector of London, United Kingdom to help support the development of children between birth to 18 years old. We are an interdisciplinary team of occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and behavioural analysts and are an interdisciplinary team that has behaviour analysis as an integral part of our therapy approach. We are well known for being able to best support children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders, however this area is not our only focus.

The Children’s Place is seeking an outgoing and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist/Team Assistant to join the team; someone who loves working with children and is passionate about the little ones’ development.

As the Ambassador of First Impressions, you will assist in the smooth daily operations of the clinic and dynamic office environment. Responsibilities will include the following but are not limited to:


What is involved?

Daily Aspects:

Completing office administration tasks:

  • Assisting with general administrative support (e.g. filing, scanning, printing etc.)
  • Performing basic financial record keeping
  • Sorting mail and delivering to appropriate team members
  • Scheduling management of the team and therapy rooms – being able to problem solve scheduling difficulties that arise
  • Taking minutes at team meetings
  • Managing calls, taking new referrals and taking care of any action points that arise
  • Responsible for overall organisation of clinic including office, therapy rooms, storage room etc.
  • Responsible for overall organisation of online data systems


Managing general clinic:

  • Ensuring clinic is presentable, clean, organised and tidy
  • Answer the door and greeting families and providing them with refreshments
  • Running errands, ordering supplies

Acting as the personal assistant to the founder, clinic manager as well as acting as a team assistant:

  • Ensuring smooth communication between founder, clinic manager, team and families
  • Note taking
  • Data entry
  • Assisting Clinic manager in daily duties
  • Supporting the team to put away toys, tidy rooms or any other support needed

  • Identifies the issues, evaluates possible solutions, and determines the best option to apply to the situation.
  • Maximises time in order to accomplish as many tasks as possible in a timely manner keeping in mind prioritising tasks as needed.
