Job Description
I am currently seeking a dedicated Medical Technical Officer to join a Laboratory Diagnostics organisation based in London. You will assist in the smooth running of laboratories and play a vital role in ensuring specimens are processed accurately and dispatched within agreed timelines. Your primary responsibilities will include working closely with the Histology Manager and staff to maintain the highest standards of service delivery.

You will be responsible for:
- Ensure specimens are cut, stained, and dispatched to the highest standards and within agreed turnaround times.
- Participate in workload management and quality control to maintain accuracy.
- Archive samples regularly and accurately.
- Undertake necessary training courses as required.
- Use and maintain histology equipment in compliance with departmental policies.
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and laboratory procedures.
- Participate in embedding and other assigned duties.
- Engage in annual staff appraisals.
You will bring the following:
- 1 year minimum of histology laboratory experience
- Proficiency in embedding
