Restoring Families. Responsibilities Position Summary:Provide safe transportation to clients. Responsible for all facets of transportation, to and fromprogramming facilities to designated parking location. In addition, would provide client supervision for our clients and ensure their safety while building a rapport with them. This includes providing assistance to each client in working within a group and in handling individual problems; responsibility for setting of limits for behavior; creating documentation of the client’s progress; and identifying the possible need for professional services and communications of such findings to professional staff. Responsibilities include contributing to the care and upkeep of the environment of care.Essential Duties:Practice safe and legal vehicle practices at all times.Provide transportation to clients from designated pick-up and drop off areas.Respond promptly to transportation requests.Provide transportation to residents for community outings and meetings in company vehiclein a safe and legal manner.Ensure vehicle is maintained and serviced.Communicate vehicle maintenance needs in a timely manner.Act as courier for mail or deliveries between program sites.Assist in transporting or picking up client food.Ensure client safety by using verbal de-escalation methods to redirect client behaviors andprevent/respond to crisis. Use CPI techniques if client poses imminent physical danger tothemselves or others.Practice compliance with all policies, record keeping requirements, checklist assignments,assigned documentation, and any other assigned duties.Remain current and up to date on all training and certifications required to maintainemployment with Newport Healthcare.Provide support to assigned programs. Program assignment may change based onoperational need.Perform other duties as assigned.
