We provide specialist and proven design capability, manufacturing, testing and commissioning in dedicated facilities. At our UKAS accredited laboratory we build high quality metering solutions for the precision measurement of energy in large capacity circuits. Our solutions are used by National Grid, major UK power stations, ABB, Alstom, Mitsubishi and others. In addition to our onshore credentials we also meter the energy generated by offshore wind turbines and naturally all of our work is independently verified.
Siemens Grid Software Project Services have a vacancy for a Metering Technical Manager that will manage our Meter Assurance service line and provide technical support to our other high accuracy electricity metering service lines.

This is your role. What part will you play?
Responsible for the day to day management of the Meter Assurance contract and provision of the services. Leadership and support to other team members.
Responsible for two direct report Metering Test Engineers.
Monitoring and reporting of performance against the agreed service levels.
Regular Liaison with Elexon to ensure the smooth co-ordination and delivery of the services.
Carry out and manage technical assurance audits on metering systems including full end to end desk based audits and site audits.
Thorough understanding of metering records and documentation, plus ability to review records and documentation for accuracy.
Appreciation of Elexon BSC Procedures, and Codes of Practice used within the Metering market.
Produce customer reports summarizing the health and status of metering systems
Production and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements required for site visits.
Provision of metering technical training to team members.
What does it take to be successful in this role?
Experience within the metering industry and a good understanding of the different metering solutions used.
Experience in a Technical Engineering environment.
Proven level of competence to HNC or degree level.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have flexible and organized approach to work to support the dual leadership and technical service delivery requirement of the role.
