Lead Microsoft Cloud Technology Engineer

Location: London, Manchester or Glasgow - Hybrid (UK Mobile)

Role Overview: As a Lead Microsoft Cloud Technology Engineer, you will spearhead cloud transformation initiatives across various industry sectors. Your role involves guiding clients through their cloud journey, from data centre exit planning to robust target state architecture design. You will establish long-term relationships with CxOs, acting as a trusted advisor on strategic directions and investments in Microsoft cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cloud initiatives on Microsoft cloud technologies for clients across sectors.
  • Drive cloud transformation from migration strategy to landing zone designs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with CxOs, advising on technology trends.
  • Collaborate with client organizations to design and implement cloud transformations.
  • Contribute to business development activities and deliver consulting sales in excess of £1m per annum.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in cloud strategy and implementation on Microsoft Azure and other Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Broad knowledge of Azure, security, Data & AI, Power Platform, and Office 365.
  • Experience in developing cloud adoption strategies using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
  • Proven experience in large-scale Azure migrations.
  • Strong collaboration with Microsoft alliance & partner teams.
  • Proactive in selling the business value of Azure and other Microsoft services.
  • Expertise in architecture, design, and deployment of Azure & hybrid solutions.
  • Understanding of key Azure workloads, security models, DevSecOps, and Azure cloud operations.

Senior Manager Level Additional Requirements:

  • Proven success in leading advisory engagements using the Microsoft suite.
  • Leadership in large-scale, complex transformation delivery engagements.
  • Team management experience in complex environments.
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Achieving sales targets of at least £500k per annum.
  • Experience in practice development and team building.
  • Client-facing consulting or advisory experience.

Details:

  • Salary: £95k-£103k
  • Bonus: ~£12k annually
  • 2 stage interview process
  • Candidates must be SC eligible
