Career Opportunities: Mid/Senior Transactions Finance Analyst (2028)

Requisition ID 2028 - Posted - Transactions Finance - London City - 5+

We offer an opportunity you simply won’t find anywhere else. In less than four years, Mileway has grown into Europe’s leader in last mile logistics real estate, with a 450-plus team across more than twenty-six offices in eleven countries.

Are you an experienced finance professional, ready to shine in a new, European team?

We are looking for a responsible, driven Mid/Senior Transactions Finance Analyst with great attention to detail to support our new and future acquisitions and disposals. In this broad role which is part of Mileway’s Finance department, you’ll work across all disciplines in the business including Property Management, Asset Management, IT as well as with the Transactions, Portfolio Management and FP&A and other finance teams, to ensure timely onboarding of new acquisitions. This role will offer you the opportunity to combine and use your finance and project management experience and knowledge.

The right candidate has not only the drive and discipline to handle the day to day, but the ambition to grow with us as we develop an unparalleled opportunity as the principal player in last mile real estate.

Working at Mileway

We offer an opportunity you simply won’t find anywhere else. In the last few years, Mileway has grown into Europe’s leader in last mile real estate, with a 400+ strong team and over twenty offices in ten countries.

We offer a hybrid working environment and our onsite office is based in London’s west end. We’ll equip you with a state-of-the-art technology package that helps you keep in touch, wherever you are. That doesn’t mean we need you 24/7. We expect you’ll work hard and that you’ll need some downtime. Respect for your personal life is key to keeping our team happy and our batteries charged.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver high quality process and control documentation following the onboarding and offboarding of deals/acquisitions
  • Provide detailed daily updates on the progress of your allocated deals to the rest of our team
  • Deliver to tight deadlines
  • Review completion accounts either internally or by assisting external advisors and produce clear working papers to ensure all elements have been covered
  • For Corporate deals, understand and create pre-acquisition, SPA and PPA journal adjustments, making sure documents are clear and auditable
  • Take ownership of one or more jurisdictions to ensure a smooth onboarding of new deals
  • Organise and chair weekly calls to monitor progress of new acquisitions and ensure action points are followed up
  • Work with the technical accounting and investment accounting teams to map Sellers Chart of Account (COA) to Mileway COA and create ETL’s for upload of opening balances from financial completion accounts
  • Work with all parties involved in the acquisition to make sure Mileway obtains all acquisition documents needed for reporting and audit review
  • Support the ESG team with the data collection initiatives for all acquisitions
  • Involvement of the Financial Due Diligence process for offboarding opportunities
  • As transactions are market driven and with the current market volatility, you may be required to assist other teams within the finance function when finance transactions activities are quieter. This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and understanding of other finance areas.

What you’ll bring

  • Your qualification as a full chartered accountant
  • At least three years’ post-qualified experience ideally from an audit background or experience working in industry with some exposure to the review of completion statements.
  • Your strong project management and technical accounting skills. You’re well organized with the ability to manage and prioritise many simultaneous tasks, without compromising your excellent quality standard and attention to detail
  • Your strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. You can confidently and assertively chair calls to make sure all points are covered and ensure good outcomes
  • Bags of initiative! You are a proactive worker who will see opportunities and address them
  • You have great team energy. You’re a hands-on self-starter who works confidently and independently, and you also collaborate well with others
  • Flexibility in the role and willingness to adapt and help other finance team’s when needed
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager is a plus

Our mission is to be the most customer and environment focused last mile real estate company in Europe, creating space for businesses to grow sustainably. To get there, we live our values: Drive, Trust, Grow, Together.
