VACANCY: MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (MECHANICAL BIAS)

LOCATION: ROTHERHAM (S66)

SALARY: UP TO £48,310 INCLUSIVE OF SHIFT ALLOWANCE

HOURS: CONTINENTAL SHIFT PATTERN ON A 4 WEEK CYCLE

AQUMEN Recruitment has partnered with a "world class" manufacturing business based in Rotherham to recruit a Mechanically biased Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Working on a "Continental Shift Pattern", the successful candidate will have a strong Mechanical background with some Electrical skills and be a conscientious individual who has a "get it right first time" attitude.

Responsibilities:

1. Using all Maintenance Machinery to repair Production Equipment
2. Mechanical repairs to high volume production machinery
3. Fault finding on various types of machinery (plastic moulding machines, grinders, assembly machines, heat treatment furnaces)
4. Basic electrical fault finding on production machinery would be an advantage but not essential
5. Installation and maintenance of plant and equipment
6. Preventative maintenance work on plant and equipment
7. Fabrication and sheet metal work
8. Welding and brazing
9. Working on pneumatic systems from schematic drawings
10. Play an active part in continuous improvement processes
11. Maintain production equipment to the required company standard
12. Uses precision tools and instruments, including micrometres, Vernier's, slip gauges and small hand tools
13. The ability to understand and work from detailed machine drawings

As in all roles, Health & Safety is paramount and you will be expected to wear appropriate PPE at all times, reporting any non-conformances to a member of the management team in line with all site Health & Safety regulations.

The successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be a self-motivated problem solver, with excellent communication skills. You should be a team player with a pro-active approach and have the ability to follow instructions. You should also be eager to learn and further develop your skills. You will be working on a variety of equipment and experience of working with the following would be advantageous: Presses, Grinders, Abrasive Wheel, Injection Moulding, Heat Treatment.
