Opportunity:


As a National Account Executive, you will be responsible for the achievement of volume, profit and net revenue targets, working closely with the wider business including Field Sales, Logistics, and Finance, as well as managing key customer relationships within the Catering channel.


This role is crucial to the overall delivery of the On-Premise Channel. The NAE will be responsible for the day-to-day management of one of the largest Foodservice retailers in Compass Group. The NAE is responsible for delivering and executing joint business plans to deliver profitable growth, as well as building and maintaining complex customer relationships. The NAE will work closely with the field team, to deliver first class communication and execution of the business plans across the On-Premise channel.


Key focus areas of the role itself and where you will spend most of your time:


  • Day-to-day management of your account, including supporting new line listings, delivering the promotional plan, working with the supply chain on ensuring all ranged stores have stock, highlighting and addressing gaps, ensuring all products are correctly positioned and tagged online, and forecasting.
  • Have your own account responsibility within the On Premise Channel. You will manage the day-to-day basis for both, build and maintain the current relationship with the buyers.
  • You will attend meetings with the NAM where appropriate and build a network of key contacts within the account base from the supply chain, formats, merchandising, promotional planning, admin, and the buyer. You will be expected to get out to store on a regular basis to ensure activity is happening and to review the competitor set.
  • You will also work with the account lead and category team to develop engaging sell-in stories for new products.
  • This is a fixed-term contract role but nonetheless a great opportunity to really make a name for yourself in such a well-established business. These guys pride themselves on nurturing and training so please do not think you will just be dropped in at the deep end they will truly develop your expertise.

To help this business to achieve its continued growth plans we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised individual with experience in National Accounts who has a proven track record within the grocery retail space to take this company to the next level.


  • Alongside living and breathing their values, the most important things we are looking for from you are:
  • Experience within the FMCG sector ideally in Sales.
  • Results-orientated and able to deliver account/channel targets.
  • Numerate, understanding of P&Ls and margins with good attention to detail.
  • Strong selling skills to win/influence buyers and internal teams.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of Excel.
