Spectrum Brands, renowned for market-leading brands such as Russell Hobbs, Remington, and George Foreman, is on the lookout for an experienced National Account Manager to join our dynamic team.


We're seeking an individual who can bring value to our organisation by adeptly applying exceptional account management principles, embracing a "can-do" attitude, and showcasing a relentless passion for success.


The Role


In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to manage one of our top tier accounts, with a substantial budget of circa £20 million at your disposal. Your responsibilities and duties encompass the following key areas:


Strategic Growth: Your primary objective is to craft a comprehensive strategy and action plan designed to drive increased sales and profitability in your account. This involves adeptly communicating and interpreting business opportunities, advising on the most effective means to capitalise on them, exciting our customers, and ensuring our product categories remain at the forefront of the market. You'll work closely with buying teams to deliver consistent growth and devise and implement account-specific tactics.


Forecasting Excellence: Your role includes providing customer forecasts, taking full responsibility for stock forecasts based on product lead times, and offering market intelligence that reflects seasonality, promotional programs, and customer nuances on a monthly basis. Constant updates will be necessary when rate of sale or intelligence data indicates a material change to the forecast.


Promotional Investment: Managing promotional investment is critical to maximising return on investment. You'll optimise volume and profit, assess promotional activities, ensure effective management of promotional volume or allocation, and tailor investment programs to meet specific customer needs.


Championing Our Culture: You'll serve as a living embodiment of our company's values and culture, both within the organisation and when interfacing externally.


Budget Oversight: Meticulously manage and monitor all aspects of budgets as defined in account plans. Regularly monitor budget performance and provide feedback on budget issues while proposing appropriate remedies.


Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure that our customers receive service of the highest standards, with product service levels exceeding 95% on-time delivery. This will involve close collaboration with logistics and forecasting departments, as well as the establishment of string relationships at various levels.


About you


Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales environments, demonstrating a solid foundation in sales strategies and practices.


An established and demonstrable track record of success as a National Account Manager within the non electrical market as desired but not essential.


Strong experience in cultivating effective relationships with key accounts is essential. Moreover, candidates must be located within a reasonable commuting distance of Manchester.


You must be proficient in computer skills across MS Office (particularly MS Excel). The most important thing to us is cultural fit and someone who can demonstrate tenacity, passion and a can-do attitude.
