Who are we?

GROUNDED® is a vc-backed, purpose-led London-based start-up.
We make plant-based functional drinks with absolutely no cr*p in them.

Run by two like-minded school friends, we launched 4.5 years ago and have sold our previous range into the likes of Sainsburys, WHSmith, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Fortnum & Mason.

We launched the UK’s first 100% natural plant-based protein shakes back in September 2020 and have gained a number of premium retailer listings since. We’re currently stocked in the likes of Selfridges, Planet Organic, Revital, Soho House, Soho Works, Virgin active and Gymbox; with several large retailer launches planned this year. We’re now based out of Soho Works in White City and are looking to expand our team.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an exceptionally driven and ambitious Sales Manager to oversee and run our Sales strategy across Grocery, Gym chains, Foodservice and Independents. You’ll be reporting directly TO one of the founders and handling day to day sales outreach. You’ll also be managing the junior members of the sales team as the team grows. This will be a demanding and hands-on role where you’ll be an integral part of a fast growing, purpose-led, sustainable f&b brand. There is A huge opportunity here for career progression; WHILST helping build and manage a successful sales team as we grow. You’ll be responsible for creating and managing leads throughout the entire sales cycle, and then managing the accounts once they have been converted. We’ve put together a very generous (and uncapped) commission structure.

Starting salary: £37,000 - £40,000
Competitive target-based bonus (uncapped)
Starting date: June 2021.


Requirements

● At least 4+ years selling within FMCG (specifically F&B)
● Experience selling into the top 4 Grocers
● Understand and believe in the brand’s ethos and range of products
● Genuine people person
● Experience with growing sales within an FMCG challenger brand
● Hunger to acquire new customers while keeping the long-term interests of the business in mind
● Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
● BSc/BA degree or equivalent


What you’ll be doing

● Selling GROUNDED’s plant-based protein shakes into Grocery, Gyms, Foodservice & Independents.
● Establishing & developing solid relationships with buyers at a senior level
● Negotiating pricing with potential customers
● Working with and coordinating sales efforts with external partners to secure new customers
● monitoring sales channels & tracking performance
● As we grow, you will be required to help grow and manage the sales team
