Job Description

Role: NC Programmer
Location: Barnoldswick
Salary: up to £60,000 DOE
Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm on Monday-Friday Subject to business needs
Our client is a forward thinking, growing organisation in the Aerospace & Defence sector. They are seeking an experienced NC Programmer to join their growing team
You will be accountable to the Engineering Lead for ensuring machined and assembled components are manufactured in accordance with Customer and regulatory requirements. You will create CNC CAD programmes using £D modelling software CATIA Offline programming.
Responsibilities include:
Create CNC CAD Programmes using 3D modelling software Offline Programming.
Responsible for the creation and development of new and existing CNC machine programmes, fixtures and work holding within the manufacturing team
To improve the quality of products and associated processes and systems ensuring compliance
Create supporting documentation for machining
Create routings for production process and supporting documentation
Knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing Drawings and models and essential
Ensure CNC programmes are used best practice methods cutting, work holding
Working with the manufacturing supervisor to ensure all programmes used meet customer specific requirements and internal quality system requirements AS9100
Liaise with all Production team members regarding tooling and machining requirements
Understanding of all customer specifications is essential
Discuss and agree timescales with production
Actively support Material Review Board (MRB) for the cost-effective disposition of issuing arising
About You
Must have experience in NC Programming using CATIA
Knowledge of CNC machining
Knowledge in planning, setting and production of complex work
Experience in analysing manufacturing data and present findings
Must be a self-starter and have innovative approaches to improve the business
Good understanding of CI techniques
