Gamma is expanding its UCaaS presence in Europe with a family of businesses focusing on digital automation, delivering Gamma-powered services to SME customers via a network of channel partners in Germany, Spain, and the Benelux region.

What will you be doing day-to-day?

  • To provide guidance, as well as technical expertise, to our 2nd Line Engineering and Support teams.
  • You will work closely with the internal Gamma engineering programme teams to ensure that network-related projects are efficiently and seamlessly transitioned into operations, therefore developing an effective working relationship with our Gamma engineers is vital.
  • Working closely with the Customer Advocate team to facilitate ongoing change to incumbent solutions.
  • Ensure that bespoke customer requirements are reviewed and developed in such a way to maintain the integrity and stability of the network.
  • Responsible for network security, including the support of internal governance meeting as well as external third-party pen testing and applicable audits.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement, specifically around tooling, capabilities and efficiency (Automation, Monitoring, Systems, Skills).
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to WAN, LAN and SD-WAN services.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including troubleshooting guides, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the support team(s) to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain customer network solutions in day to day operations.
  • Perform upgrades and be proactive in maintaining firmware versions across all devices.
  • Provide escalation for incidents from tier 2 and technical service desk teams.
  • Overnight on call cover for high severity incidents.

What you’ll need

  • In-depth knowledge of LAN and SD-WAN technologies, including routers, switches, access-points, firewalls, and WAN optimization.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Applicants will typically be CCNP qualified or working towards this.
  • Vendor-specific experience in Cisco routing and switching.
  • Meraki MX/MS/MR deployment skills, including SDWAN, Dashboard, Licensing, Wi-Fi and switching best practice.
  • In-depth Palo Alto experience and/or Palo Alto qualifications.
  • In-depth understanding of routing protocols, internal and external BGP, OSPF & EIGRP
  • Advanced knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls & Access Control Lists (ACLs)
  • Understanding of core network routers and infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience of IP network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • A strong background in configuring firewalls for Corporate and/or ISP services, to include:
  • Centralised/Virtual Firewall Policy and best practice.
  • VPN Client build/policy
  • Site to Site IPSec build/policy
  • DPI Policies for Internet Traffic
  • A firm understanding of Network Security.

  • This role will require travel to one of our office locations (Manchester or London) once or twice a month.
  • We do not need agency support; we do all our recruitment in house.
