Job Description

Responsibilities Drives the development of thepany’s strategic goals and plans for its renewables – and wider new energies – business. Contributes to thepany’s corporate strategy development and update process, especially as it pertains to articulating and crafting its new energies strategy, including coordination with other business strategists and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the organization and the various business and support lines. Guides the delivery of the corporate consultancy projects focused on hydrogen and supports the development of hydrogen demand and supply scenarios, technology roadmaps and investment planning. Generates and proposes to executive management strategic options for renewable business development and market opportunities backed up with the appropriate analysis. Reviews thepany’s business and investment plans in the new energies and renewables space, and lead strategic fit assessment of key investments, to ensure alignment with thepany’s strategic plan. Facilitates periodic strategy execution reviews to measure progress of the new energies’ strategy, identify early warning signs and rmend potential improvements. Independently initiates and prepares research on wide-ranging topics that look into long-term scenarios and strategic considerations that could impact thepany’s strategy andpetitive advantage in its new energies – and renewables – business. Also, prepares research and special studies as required for the Strategy & Market Analysis organization and various Corporatemittees. Cultivates key matrix relationships across the organization, and be able to persuade counterparts at different levels and advance corporate strategic thinking to ensure the organization is proactive in developing or adjusting its strategy. Builds and maintains strong relationships with industry experts, consultancies, and best-in-classpanies, keeping abreast of key developments in the new energies space and other arenas that could impact thepany’s strategy. Mentoring, managing and coaching junior staff. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Financial Management, or a closely related discipline; advanced degree is highly desirable. Must have 10+ years of experience in developing and advising on renewables projects with a major integrated energypany, renewable energy project developer, consulting firm, or financial institution, with at least 5 years in a strategy or corporate planning function. Must have a deep understanding of the latest industry trends in new energies sector. Specifically, the candidate must be well-versed renewables market, and investment trends, including policy and regulatory environment,mercialization (valuation and project appraisals, financing, contract structuring), technologies and market entry strategies. Experience with economic analysis and modelling tools for renewable energy portfolios Project experience in solar or windmercial deployment will be a distinctive advantage Must have a proven ability to effectively challenge conventional thinking, and influence others to do the same. Must have a proven ability to quickly build and maintain positive and effective networks with internal and external stakeholders of all organizational levels. Must have a proven ability to develop a positive, effective and collaborative rapport with senior management, co-workers, and stakeholders using tact and diplomacy. Must have demonstrative ability to effectively coach and mentor multi-national junior staff. Candidate must have excellent English written and oralmunication skills. Fully proficient with Microsoft Office tools or equivalent, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
