Job Description

Non contentious Construction Lawyer

Cardiff

My client is an award-winning full-service law firm highly rated and with various Tier 1 recommendations on the Legal 500. Their clients include commercial businesses, not-for-profit organisations, government agencies and private individuals, enabling a broad and exciting caseload.

Due to growth, they are seeking a solicitor with 6+ years of PQE to primarily advise on non-contentious matters. While the thriving team often handles both contentious and non-contentious issues, their current focus is on high-profile, complex transactional work. Proficiency with JCT and NEC contracts from a construction and property development standpoint is essential. Experience with PPP or PFI transactions is highly desirable, and familiarity with FIDIC or ICHEME forms would be an advantage.

Our client promotes hybrid working, typically expecting a minimum of three days in the office per week, subject to business needs.

This position is ideal for individuals with high calibre construction experience acquired at leading national, regional, or City law firms. Candidates with in-house legal experience at major contractors, consultants, or public bodies would be an advantage. Overall, this role is perfect for individuals seeking work at the leading edge of construction with various HNW companies, all while working within a firm that embraces collaboration and career growth, utilising a unique framework to help their colleagues reach their fullest potential.
