Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN) – Green Park Nursing Home
£21.97 per hour
Location: Southwold Crescent, Great Sankey, Warrington, WA5 3JS
As a specialist Nurse Dementia Therapist in this setting, you will be responsible for providing the highest level of personal care and attention to people living with dementia, formulating, implementing, and maintaining care plans. You will also supervise the staff in the Reconnect community, ensuring the delivery of care is within the expectations of the Reconnect model.
You will ensure that people are treated with respect and dignity, your approach is empathetic, compassionate and focused on ensuring their life is the best it can be, focussing on the strengths and abilities of each person.
You will need to be understanding and patient towards people and their needs, and encourage, assist and support people to participate in appropriate leisure activities and activities of daily living, normalising life as much as possible with joy and happiness.
People living with dementia often have continuing periods of loss and distress which inhibits them from living life to the full in care homes. Orchard Care Homes are aiming to transform and reshape care for people living with dementia in our homes. Main Duties
To assist with the formulation and delivery of the individuals care plans. Work as an integral part of the caring team, to deliver the highest standards of person centred care, to people who are living with a complex dementia. Adopt a holistic approach which encompasses the needs of both the person and their families to ensure that at they retain their identity, are comfortable and are engaged in meaningful activities. To ensure that communication is appropriately facilitated, that people regain and retain their independence, their choices are met at all times and that they are treated with respect,dignity and given their rights to privacy.
To administer medication and liaise with external professionals and ensure that people receive the appropriate referrals and medical attention.
