We have a great setting located close to Colchester seeking a Nursery Manager to lead and supervise a friendly team.  This nursery is a place of creativity and discovery, designed to nurture and inspire young minds. They believe in the power of play and exploration, with activities designed to meet each child’s learning, development and welfare needs. This setting has been thoughtfully designed and converted to cater for children of different age groups. There is a beautiful outdoor area, offering ample space and a dedicated nature zone for children to explore and connect with the environment. It is close to local commuter links and well served by public transport. As the Nursery Manager, you will oversee daily activities, learning, and care, whilst maintaining a welcoming environment where children feel safe, loved, and free to explore. This is a role for a visionary leader who can seamlessly blend administrative prowess with a genuine love for early childhood education. Responsibilities: Inspire, mentor, and support a team of passionate educators and ancillary staff Design and implement captivating educational programs that spark curiosity and joy Build strong, trusting relationships with parents, keeping them involved and informed Maintain high standards of care, education, and safety in line with regulatory requirements Oversee the administrative and financial aspects of the nursery, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Hold a recognised childcare qualification, minimum Level 3, ideally higher Have previous experience of working in a nursery or early childhood setting, with managerial responsibilities Exceptional ability to connect with children, parents, and the team A creative thinker with a passion for early childhood education This is an opportunity to bring your creativity, leadership, and passion for early childhood education to a place where you can make a lasting impact.
