Then consider joining us at TransPennine Express We are looking for an Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor to join our expanding team, you will be instrumental in helping develop an operational in-house service. Working in conjunction with our Occupational Health provider you will undertake new starter medicals, Drug & Alcohol testing, management referrals, supporting the wellbeing strategy and much more. You will also be integral in supporting the Occupational Health Manager in all aspects of Occupational Health & Wellbeing. The role will be based at Manchester, and you will be required to be onsite. In addition, the role will require some travel across the network on TransPennine Express trains within your working hours, therefore the ability to travel is essential. An ambition to develop as a practitioner is pivotal, working in the rail is exciting, challenging, diverse and no two days are the same, the ability to adapt to any given situation is therefore fundamental. As a new department the opportunities are endless, we are looking for a dynamic, robust Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor who wishes to gain experience within the rail environment and a keen interest for development is required. For the right candidate we are willing to support ongoing qualifications within Occupational Health. To join us we would like a NMC registered nurse with 3 years minimum post qualifying experience, it is essential you have experience as an Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor also, having undertaken case management. Mental health and Musculoskeletal disorders are the biggest contributing factors to absenteeism globally so candidates must have some knowledge and experience with dealing with mental ill health and prevention in addition be willing to undertake MSK assessments and be confident in their approach.
