About the role: We’re looking for an experienced practitioner to join us at Outcomes First Group as our Specialist Occupational Therapist. Based at Meadowcroft - The Gallery and working across the hub of education and residential services, the post holder will progress the OT specific therapeutic services where the needs of the young people vary in levels of functioning, many with a diagnosis of autism as well as associated needs such as complex and developmental trauma. Needs are complex and require a systemic and formulation-based approach. This role requires specialist assessment and treatment of children and young people with complex needs. As a registered practitioner you are personally responsible for your professional practice and maintenance of CPD. You will work closely with your team to create a responsive service in the schools/care homes where you work, and to ensure that wherever possible evidence-based practice is delivered in line with OFG policies and guidelines. As part of the multi-disciplinary team you will be responsible for performing comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and deliver meaningful activity within an individual and group environment. You will be required to compile specialist reports and assist with supervision of junior occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants and students as required. It is advantageous if you have started working towards your training in Ayres Sensory Integration, or you should be willing to commence training following your probation period in services where this is a need. Your clinical duties will include supervision, preparing and delivering training, attending forums and completing audits and risk assessments. You will be expected to hold a full case load in a busy service with supervision from a senior occupational therapist, wellbeing coordinator or clinical lead. For more information on the group please visit: https://www.outcomesfirstgroup.co.uk/ Essential Criteria: Relevant post-qualification OT experience working as a Therapist, including post qualification working in the specific client group Experience of representing occupational therapy within the context of multi-disciplinary post qualification working in the specific client group and multi-agency treatment and care Experience of reviewing and developing therapy standards, policies and procedures Experience of working in a range of settings e.g. CAMHS, LD Experience of teaching, training and supervision of other OT's Experiencing of undertaking appraisal and planning CPD's for less experienced staff Experience of audit and research Experience of working with the specific client group.
