Senior Procurement Consultant - International Offshore Wind Projects
My Client:
My client is a global leader in the offshore wind sector. They are seeking an experienced Procurement Professional to support their growing portfolio of renewable energy projects on a global scale. My client has over 300 employees globally and are working on some of the largest utility scale wind energy projects.
The Role:
You will be responsible for leading the procurement process on behalf of clients across all disciplines of offshore wind - a fast evolving business. You will be a strategic thinker with a strong commercial focus. As Snr Procurement Consultant you will be responsible for clients’ projects, from early development (including tendering) through to completion of the project. This role will offer great diversity, with projects ranging from the complete outsourcing of a clients’ procurement division to specialist advisory work on a specific part of a project where additional expertise is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Delivering procurement advice to clients, including but not limited to development of business cases, procurement strategies, evaluation criteria and tender documentation.
- Delivering technical work associated with project delivery, including development of service specifications, method statements, pricing schedules and evaluation of bids.
- Execution of commercial activities, leading negotiations and acting as the single point of contact on behalf of clients.
- Report writing and presentation of results and recommendations to clients.
- Active development of global supplier relationships, market knowledge and supply chain dynamics.
- Developing bids for new projects and actively undertaking business development to further grow the procurement portfolio and the services of my client.
- Management and coordination of project teams to include planning and assigning responsibilities for project staff in the procurement phase. Ensuring timely input is received from project staff, liaison with project board on strategic project issues, deadlines and deliverables, while ensuring project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored.
Your Profile:
- 5+ years of experience in the international renewable energy sector
- Managerial experience in procurement
- Experience with procurement or category management, contracting and negotiations.
- Strong commercial mindset
