For our development in the region Turkey, Middle East and Africa, we are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Development Manager for the Oilfield Chemicals market who is an expert in managing Technical activities and Business development with reputable industry players. The position to be based in UK, Europe or KSA with frequent travels in major Middle East Oil & Gas hubs (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar)

In this role you will...

  • Be responsible for growing Stepan's business within the Oilfield Chemical market through the identification and development of new customers.
  • Map and understand the Market and customer needs, connecting with major industry players, international/local Service companies, as well as locally based Blenders and Operators.
  • Establish long-lasting relationship with key decision makers within R&D and Marketing
  • Provide End users and Stepan’s Distributors with Technical support, training and education, enabling them to know the market, know the application, know the product
  • Partnering with Stepan’s Distributors to promote the Value Proposition focusing on unmet needs and innovation trends
  • Drive Project coordination between End-user, Distributors and Stepan’s Global Technical Experts in order to deliver a successful implementation of the project
  • Facilitate the launch of new products and applications, providing the Customers and Distributors with necessary teaching, training and coaching

You should possess...

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a Technical and/or Commercial role within an Upstream Oil & Gas as Service company with a solid contact network to rapidly connect Stepan ambitions with the GCC market. Experience in Stimulation or Production is a plus.
  • Good product, application and market knowledge
  • Ability to engage customers into win-win negotiation.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently from a remote home office, whilst providing regular feedback to internal management and stakeholders
  • Must possess a great deal of initiative and self-drive
  • Some knowledge and usage of SalesForce.com or equivalent.
  • English is a must, Arabic language certainly a plus.

Required Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
