On Board Manager Holyhead-Talent Pool Job Title : On Board Manager Salary : £43,Close Date : 21-Aug- Employment Type : PermanentFull or Part time : The role of an On-Board Manager at Avanti West Coast is essential to our success, with a focus on our people and customer experience. This is a people orientated role within which you are responsible for a large dedicated team of on-board crews who deliver the service to our customers. (Please note this role is not based onboard the train - it is a people management role- managing the onboard crews) You will be responsible for leading and engaging this group of people to 'win together' and deliver a consistent level of excellence in customer service. You will be instrumental in 'sharing your spark' and making the company vision and brand values live through involvement of your team. Role responsibilities: Be accountable for managing behaviours in line with the business values, supervising performance, sickness absence and availability levels of your team and ensuring that you provide feedback and address issues that may arise.Be required to lead and own the implementation of any planned changes and to support on board teams with any new commercial activities.Responsible for the safety of your On-Board teams ensuring compliance with safety standards.Manage budgets in line with Finance Business PartnerEnsure the delivery of great customer service in all circumstancesThis post holds an 'On Call' commitment and requires flexibility to work hours that suit the railway environment. You'll already be a great leader with a proven track record of bringing your team along with you. You'll be great at managing your workload and you'll have the safety of others (including yourself!) at the forefront of your mind. You'll be customer focused, and 'take pride' to ensure each and every customer has a great experience with us. Ideally, you will have worked in a similar, fast-paced environment with proven experience of juggling multiple priorities. Flexibility and a positive approach to managing and developing a team are also key requirements of this role.
